Cancellation Policies
Scheduled tour bookings are not confirmed until payment is received ( by Hidden Secrets or accredited Travel Agent*)
In any event, Hidden Secrets strongly advises you to take out travel insurance… its well worth the piece of mind.
We always suggest a call, email or text the day prior to your tour to ensure all your details are as they should be. It is not obligatory, but it helps.
If confirmed standard departure tour bookings are cancelled the following fees apply
- More than 7 days in advance – 10% of original fee
- 3-7 days in advance – 50% of tour cost
- within 72 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available

If changes are made more than 7 days prior to original booking there is no additional charge.. the rebooked date must be within 2 months.
- > All changes are subject to availability. If changes are made within the six days, this may be considered as a cancellation – and cancellation fees charged accordingly. We will endeavour to rebook for a best ressult for everyone.
- > If last minute (less than 7 days) date changes are made a 40% fee will be charged to take the revised date ( excluding booking fee/ creditcard fees)
- > If Hidden Secrets Tours is forced to cancel a booked tour, any prior tour payments will be fully refunded ( other than third party booking fees)
- > The above is relevant to gift voucher bookings as well. Gift voucher values may be used for other Hidden Secrets Tours, subject to availability. All vouchers are valid for 1 place and value cannot be split.
- > Gift vouchers are non refundable once purchased, so please choose carefully. They will be extended from their written due date on discretion, and only if requested prior to expiry date
- > Hidden Secrets Tours operate in all weather, though reserves the right to alter or amend an itinerary if circumstances require.
Please note if you book a tour with us via an external company – Get Your Guide, Viator, your Travel Agent, or others, please ensure you check their cancellation policies, as they will be arranging any refund.
Gift vouchers are non refundable – they are able to be transferred to another name, and they are able to be used for others of our tours to the value of the voucher. Gift vouchers will be redeemable for the tour nominated up to 12 months, and to the dollar value thereafter if an extension is requested prior to expiry for another 6 months thereafter.
Private, corporate and group bookings have special cancellation policies to ensure your exclusive experience. see below
· A deposit of 50% of the quoted tour minimum is requested to hold tour date.
· Full payment is required 7 days prior to departure.
· Group, corporate and private tours are bookings that vary in any form from our standard tours.
· The following fees will be invoiced if agreed bookings are cancelled:
- More than a month in advance – 5% service fee of deposit
- Group bookings cancelled more than 21 days prior to departure are charged a 10% booking fee of paid monies
- Group Bookings cancelled or numbers reduced 7- 21 days prior to departure a 50% charge will be applied
- Additional numbers will be accommodated subject to availability.
- Group bookings cancelled within 7 days of commencement – refunds will not be available
- All changes must be received in writing.
- Covid impacts will be managed with compassion and rebooked or resolved respectfully.
- Bookings are not confirmed until a booking confirmation number is received// or invoice is written and sent// or payment is received by Hidden Secrets Tours.

Things to note when booking tours.
- Credit card payments incur a non refundable 3% surcharge .
Private group bookings
- If you have a small group, we can timetable a Lanes and Arcades tour for you outside of our Tuesday to Saturday listings, of even start the tour with lunch, to fit with your timetable.
- Tours can be adapted to between 2 and 4 hours.
Personalised itineraries
- If you would like a personalised tour, please contact us with specific requests, we are certain to be able to create an itinerary to suit – within our focus of a design snapshot of Melbourne
- If you are unable to participate in a tour, we will meet with you and personalise your options over coffee. more info
Corporate bookings
- Corporate bookings are available for groups between 6 and 20 people per session – (groups will be split to maximum 10)
- Larger groups would be considered case by case.
Tours conducted in French:
- By the very nature of a special language tour, these are considered private bookings, as we do these as an unscheduled option.
- Group sizes can be from 2 – 10, and can can range from 2 – 4 hours with lunch options.
